On Thursday the 13th of June we proudly sponsored Branded3’s SEO and PPC conference Search Leeds, and this year was undoubtedly the most successful yet!
The biggest search conference in the North of England, the event was created to bring together the brightest and best of search in the UK’s SEO capital. Held at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, the day consisted of knowledge sharing from some of the industry’s key leaders including Google, Distilled, Bing, Branded3 and, of course, Response One.
Taking a slightly different direction to last year, as well as uncovering actionable insights across SEO and PPC, Search Leeds 2017 also explored using Digital Marketing and Content to create positive consumer behaviours.
With 1,200 delegates registered, the broader approach paid off, making the conference that much more accessible to everyone.
For example opening the show on Stage 2 was Strategy Director, Rob McGowan, with his talk ‘Are you seeing the whole elephant?’ which discussed why brands need multiple perspectives on customer data to get the full picture.
Toby Brown, Head of Content here at Response One, opened the afternoon session with his talk ‘Is Content Really Still King?’ Toby’s talk was an entertaining exploration on how to make your content work for your brand. His talk proved to be highly popular, with many quoting it as their highlight of the day (check out this great review by TheWholeCaboodle here).
Along with supporting the event with speakers, we also provided entertainment too with our #LegoChallenge. As anticipated things got pretty competitive with the best creations winning a bottle of champagne – and that’s not to mention our Apple Watch draw!
Overall the day was buzzing and full of life, practical advice and shared knowledge.
In an ever-changing industry, Search Leeds really has created an avenue for creatives – both established and aspiring – to share their passion. Each speaker at the event came with the intention to inspire, the crowd was alive with potential, and each attendee walked away with some fresh insights and knowledge.
The event goes from strength to strength and we can’t wait to see how it grows next year. Bring on Search Leeds 2018!
